Everybody Makes Mistakes

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recall_election

Up here or over here in Canaduh, we are the laughingstock of the world.

The mayor of our largest city maintains total innocence amidst allegations that there's a video somewhere out there (it seems to have mysteriously disappeared) showing he and some other hoodlums together smoking cocaine.

It's all like a Canadian soap opera.

A local newspaper there reported that whomever had the vid wanted $200,000 for it. Today, the mayor again told reporters where to stick it and attempted to continue to rule his fiefdom. All of Canaduh has been subjected to this silliness.

Meanwhile, in Ottawa, our national capitol, two Conservative senators have started the toppling of Prime Sinister Harper's Conservative government by each getting involved in wrongdoing. They are both former journalists, same as me.

But they were TV journalists, talking heads. So that doesn't count.

And today, a Conservative Member of Parliament from Alberta, Harper's stomping grounds, resigned to sit as an Independent, saying effectively he did not want to B.S. to the people on Harper's behalf.

Personally, I don't get why Canaduh doesn't have recall legislation. Harper could be recalled, the two former TV weenies in his party could be recalled and sent flying on their butts and the Alberta MP from Harper's hallucinatory has-beens could be dumped.

    1. Gerry: What a zoo. We NEED effective recall legislation that doesn't take the brain of Einstein to enact. That this is even happening makes a mockery of democracy.

  4. Gerry: Just tried to find your blog to "favorite" it. You don't appear to have one. Huh? Duh.

Be critical. Disagree, if you want. But don't be abusive.
